Buying homes with CashThis is a great article in the New York Times on how cash buyers are changing the buying market today. We have been seeing this here in our neighborhood for months now. It is an amazing new phenomenon, and makes for a very exciting home sale! From personal buyers to investors, we are seeing cash buyers make offers on nearly every sale. As my wise mentor Joseph Brazen always says “Cash is King!”. He is absolutely right. When two identically priced offers are presented, one cash, one financed, the cash buyer always prevails. Seattle’s Market Is Back!

Seattle-area home prices jump 10.6 percent year over a year!!!!

Article Excerpt:

“Seattle and all 19 other cities in a 20-city S&P/Case-Shiller composite index posted positive year-over-year gains in home prices. It was the third straight month of year-over-year increases for the 20-city composite. The data for March represent a three-month rolling average for January, February and March.”

Average home prices nationwide are now at levels last seen in mid-2003.
